Chapter Abstract: This is clip 6 of 26 for this video. Jim Lounsbury of the US EPA Office of Solid Waste discusses facts and figures to help clarify the national picture of solid waste. Industrial hazardous waste only makes up about 2% of the national volume of waste. Municipal solid waste makes up only 1% of the total volume. "Special Wastes" make up only 39%. By far, the largest piece of the pie is Industrial Solid Waste at 59%.
