Reducing The Hazards - A Look at Pollution Prevention Programs in Texas: Chapter 03: Select Team

Chapter Abstract: This is clip 3 of 10 for this video. Step 2: Select Team. At a Motorola facility in Austin, environmental and technical teams work together to find ways to recycle waste. One team was assigned to find a way to reclaim sulfuric acid that was previously being disposed of. A system was put in place where acid is separated from waste water and the sulfuric acid is then reprocessed and reused. The acid became an in-house renewable resource.
