The Magic Metal - Mercury and its Hidden Dangers: Chapter 02: Mercury Vapor
Chapter Abstract: This is clip 2 of 7 for this video. At average temperatures, mercury is nature's only liquid metal. It is also one of nature's heaviest metals. Despite its great density, mercury evaporates. This vapor is odorless, tasteless and colorless, and is only visible in UV light. Exposure to this vapor can lead to illness and even death. It is a particular danger to small children and pregnant women because it is toxic to a developing brain.
