Chapter Abstract: This is clip 6 of 7 for this video. The Dragout reduction techniques in this video can help you reduce waste, increase production, and increase your company's competitive edge. Rack parts vertically when possible. Orient parts so solution does not puddle. Stagger parts to improve drainage. Minimize wire used to rack small parts. Inspect condition of racks and barrels. Add only the amount of chemical needed. Make several small chemical additions throughout shift. Slow withdrawal rates. Allow parts to drain over the process bath. Use hang bars and drain boards when available. Use spray rinses above tanks. Make sure drip guards are properly installed. Use Dragout tanks and Dragout tank solution for bath makeup.
